A Bride & a Groom & a AE86-Saskatoon

2020 was definitely year of including your sweet ride in your wedding photos, which I'm a 100% ok with. Fun fact you may not know about your photographer is I actually wanted to be a mechanic before I became a photographer. Kristen & Cameron were an amazing couple to work with. I was suppose to shoot their wedding earlier in the year, but like so many couples they postponed and then unpostponed their wedding. I'm so happy they did. I LOVE fall weddings. Kristen had so many beautiful well thought out details, her dress was sooo beautiful. They were so relaxed while getting ready, but filled with excitement for the ceremony. Juli my amazing second shooter for the day hung out with Cameron and the guys and snapped some great photos of them getting ready and just chilling.

We headed over to the Western Development Museum for their ceremony. If you haven't attended a wedding there or even visited you need too. There is so much history and cool things to look at. Their décor complemented the vintage vibe of the museum. They said their I Do's on the train platform while their family's and friends joined them in celebration. And of course you have to take a few cool shots inside the museum afterwards, its a photographers paradise.

Kristen and Cameron wanted a urban look and vibe to there wedding photos and I was so excited. A lot of my couples like more of a greenery and river front backdrop of there photos but not these two. I was soooooo pumped that I finally got to shoot at a few locations on my bucket list. Cameron brought along not just one of his sweet rides, but two!!! I wanted to really showcase each car in different locations. There is a really cool tunnel just south of the city that makes an amazing backup location in case of rain and a super cool spot to put a bride, a groom and a AE86. Totally worth blocking the road off for a few mins. Our next location was under the CN bridge. It has such a cool industrial vibe, perfect for what they were looking for. Kristen and Cameron were super brave and up for anything, I had them climb up onto the cement pad under the bridge and the photos were worth it. I never ask my clients to do something I wouldn't do myself so you bet I was also up on top of a cement barrier to get the shot. I love when couples trust me to make amazing art for them.

Our next locations were downtown and pretty cool. Cameron had a Integra that he fixed up, and the texture in the sturdy stone building offered a great contrast to the sleek design of the acura. We also snuck our couple over to one of my favorite hidden locations that has a really cool window in the wall that we could use for photos. Juli and I had a great time with them and their wedding party.

We Then headed back the the WDM for their reception. The Couple are HUGE lovers of Coffee, there décor had coffee beans everywhere. In fact I took their engagement photos in a coffee shop. I love when couple incorporate so much of their personality into their weddings. Receptions this year looked so much different, a small intimate dinner, a few speeches, sharing a cupcake and a couple of dances. Even with all the changes this couple had to make there wedding day was perfect.
